The Lady Bug Class is a very busy classroom. This classroom is designed for children that are demonstrating independence, listening skills, an interest in potty training, an interest in self- care, and signs of self-control. The classroom is designed with many activities and lots of movement and interaction to keep this busy age group intrigued and learning.
Our children learn best with hands on experiences, exploring and discovering through active play. Our teachers will provide responsive, individualized attention to help build the children’s skills; cognitively, socially, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Our children will learn social behaviors, building friendships, self-esteem, positive self-worth, and how to work independently and in a small group.
Movement and exploration in the prepared classroom are so very important at this age. Children need to use their bodies, senses, and emerging problem-solving skills to learn and make sense of their world in meaningful and effective ways. This is a critical time of development of personality and intellect. These children are actively seeking out information, they learn quickly and easily, and are especially interested in demonstrating independence. Our classroom and teachers allow the needed freedom for the children to learn as much as they can, as quickly as possible.
